INVENTORY ANALYST

Job Overview
This position provides support to maximize opportunities within our Operations team. The candidate is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and executing the field consignment inventory count program and must be able to analyze trends, solve problems, provide day to day support, and execute on inventory activities and priorities to deliver superior Customer Experience metrics. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Operations team while championing Southern Medical Technologies and Stryker’s Mission and Values.

Responsibilities
Individual Responsibilities:

Functional Responsibilities

  • Manage Field Inventory Counts of SMT warehouse and hospital consignment locations.

    • Manage investment of permanent consignment inventories that reside at our customers’ locations as well as SMT warehouse locations

    • Develop and implement the annual consignment count process

    • Determine the schedule of cycle counting, reporting and reconciling field inventory records for Orthopedic long term consignment, with acknowledgment of records from the Customer within the calendar year

    • Work with Sales, Operations, and facility, establish appropriate controls for field consignment movement in order to ensure accurate traceability and reduce shrinkage

    • Trend analysis of field inventory movements and accuracy

    • Ensure field counts meet audit requirements and are accurately tracked and recorded in order to provide objective evidence of effective field asset management

    • Proactively and thoroughly investigate count discrepancies to reduce unnecessary field inventory adjustments

  • Complete all data entry of approved inventory adjustments for all in-field inventory counts and meet all field inventory count program deadlines and targets

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with customers and Operations teams to facilitate successful field inventory asset management

  • Provide quantitative support to Operations teams regarding consignment inventory decisions

 

  • Provide support for inventory reviews

    • Report Inventory adjustments, write off and write ups from consignment accounts

    • Executive summary for month end closing

  • Participate and contribute to projects and innovations related to field consignment inventory management systems, and implement associated new internal operational processes as required

  • Other duties as assigned by your Manager

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent spreadsheet (EXCEL) skills and experience manipulating and analyzing high volumes of data. Database skills (ACCESS & Oracle) preferred

  • Proven and verifiable track record of previous success and improvement accomplishments

  • Effective planning and organizational skills- must be able to prioritize work

  • Strong Computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint – Oracle experience an asset but not required

  • Must be extremely detail orientated

  • Ability to analyze and resolve routine materials issues using independent judgment
